More on GUNNM : Martian Memory

So far, GUNNM Martian Memory is an interesting game and addition to the Battle Angel Alita franchise, and so far, an interesting alternate take.  Much like the live action film of Alita Battle Angel which was released last year, the game features the concept that Earth and Mars were once rivals, engaged in a destructive war, and the concept of the Berserker Body being an invention of Mars, and not Venus.  Part of this I can understand for keeping the story limited in length.  But what’s interesting is the kind of scenario in the film and video game that war almost destroyed humanity, and so now it’s time for such a great destructive war between powerful nations be avoided.  True to the concept of being a redeemed figure, the video game Alita was also under the Martian armies in that destructive war.

And in that war, in spite of its fictional nature, it’s time to be seeking peace in the troubled times that we live in.  Too much conflict can be a bad thing, and the longer it drags on, the worse it can become.  There is injustice, but let’s not let ourselves get blinded falling into the pitfalls of hatred and revenge.
