Kaos Tutorials : Let's Explore RetroArch!

 

 

    And so, as 2023 came to a close, I took a look at RetroArch, a multi-system emulator that works on Mac OS, Linux, Windows, and even Steam, and gave a brief overview, along with instructions on how to get the emulator running.  Currently, I perform most of my emulation using OpenEmu.  However, while OpenEmu is quite functional on my current Mac OS operating system, OpenEmu has not been updated since late 2021.  RetroArch, on the other hand, has remained updated, and while it uses a command line interface, unlike the Graphical User Interface that OpenEmu uses, I feel it works quite well for the job of Emulation and remains updated.  

    And so I decided to share what I have learned as RetroArch is likely to remain the premiere Emulation platform for retro gaming in the near future as it keeps receiving updates.  So hang on, and take a look at my wonderful informative video on getting RetroArch up and running!
