With Bungie announcing the New Marathon game in 2025, there's no better time to play the old classic Marathon First Person Shooters released by Bungie for Mac and for PC in the case of the second Marathon game! The first two games are available on Steam now courtesy of the open source development by Aleph One. Now getting the games of Marathon and Marathon 2 Running via Steam is rather easy. To do so, you must first deactivate all of your advanced settings in the Steam Bottle on Crossover.
First, let's install Steam
First, select the Steam Bottle in Crossover. The menu of your various Apps is on the left of the window.
Now, select Advanced Settings on the right to deactivate all of the advanced settings, circled in red.
Now in the advanced settings, turn off all the advanced settings so none are active, which should look like the image below. This may require two or three reboots of the Steam Bottle
Now, with Steam as a bottle set to normal, you are ready to play Marathon and it's sequel,
Marathon 2 :Durandal on Steam!
Now, you should have a great time playing Marathon and Marathon 2 on Codeweavers Crossover! In
conclusion, I would like
to invite you to check out the Forums on Codeweavers.
Entries for various apps have forums and Tips for getting the
Applications to work! If you are available to actively test and rate
the compatibility of various Applications on Codeweavers Crossover, you
may want to consider becoming a Bettertester!
