    And so, in anticipation of Bungie releasing a long-awaited follow up to it's old fps series known as Marathon to the Sony Playstation 5 in 2025, there is currently a more recent release of the earlier games in the Marathon series.  These are provided by Aleph One on Steam for either Mac OS or Windows, giving greater availability than previously available.  Aleph One is a fan project to make Marathon Games playable on modern computers, which was great considering only the second Marathon game, Durandal, was available on Windows initially back in the 1990s as the first and third games were only for Apple Computers on initial release.  But now, in anticipation of Bungie returning to Marathon for newer systems 30 years later, why not take a look at the older Marathon games that contributed to the early first person shooter genre?  Why not use your favorite Game service too?  As of now, they can be played on Mac OS or Windows using Steam, and can even be played on Steam using Codeweavers Crossover, even with it not being neccessary.  So strap in, and see the games which served as a spiritual predecessor to the Halo series, of which you can see my guide to running Halo : The Master Chief Collection too!  As I often say in conclusion.  Be safe out there, and I will be signing off!
