Retro Futurism in Battle Angel Alita!

   

 

     So, what is retro futurism? You may ask.  Retro Futurism is when media portrays a future setting in a story using aesthetics of past eras.  One example would be if one were to portray some future where a new Roman Empire existed in the 22nd Century AD, where in spite of futuristic technologies like advanced space travel, you had people dressing up like Romans from Classical Times.  In this one, we will be looking at elements of this same retro futurism in portraying the future world of the 26th Century A.D. in Battle Angel Alita!  Will be premiering on Wednesday, August 29, 2024!  Check it out!
