It's 2026 and it has been 25 years since the release of the neo-noir third person shooters. Can they still be played today? The answer is a resounding YES! Yes they can be played today. For PC Users, it's actually quite easy nowadays. You need Steam and you are good to go. For Mac OS Users? It gets a little more complicated, but don't worry! You are not being left in the dark on this! There is still a way to play this classic action game!
It comes in the form of Codeweavers Crossover! Codeweavers Crossover is an emulator for Windows Operating Systems that allows both Linux and Mac OS users to run their favorite games from years past on their own operating systems with a virtual windows machine. For this to work, you have two guides for the newest version of Codeweavers Crossover : Version 26! One guide is written and the other is in video format, so you can choose which guide suits your fancy.
With Steam Installed on Crossover, check the Bottle and see the settings for the Steam Bottle, and make sure the Advanced Settings are set up as follows: Graphics should be set to "Automatic", MSync should be set to "Active" and High Resolution mode should be set to "Off", look below to how the Advanced Settings are set for the Steam Bottle.
Now, with Steam Installed and the proper settings active, you are set to play Max Payne, almost flawlessly on today's machines.
