Prince of Persia Sands of Time Trilogy : A Mac Gamer's Guide

    So, in spite of all its age, the Prince of Persia Sands of Time games still run rather well using Codeweavers Crossover.  In particular, they run quite well using Steam Installed within Codeweavers Crossover.  So here, we will take a look at a series of games which successfully transitioned the Prince of Persia game franchise into the third dimension!  In a few easy steps, you can get the Prince of Persia games running on your Mac as well!  Just follow these steps!

Steam Installation

    For installing Steam, there is a process for getting the best compatibility results.  I have set aside a full video for the instructions on how that Installation should be carried out here:

 

 

    After having properly installed Steam in Codeweavers Crossover, you should be able to access Prince of Persia The Sands of Time, The Warrior Within, and The Two Thrones, if you purchased the games on Steam.  If not, you can do so using the Steam Store.  

GOG.com Installation

    GOG.com is another gaming service wherein you can buy the installer for the Prince of Persia games.  You can download it from your account on the website, or download the installers from the client Application known as GOG Galaxy.  From there, use the installer executable for the Prince of Persia game, to install the game, switching from the Steam Installation Option.

     For the GOG.com versions of the Prince of Persia games, there is a color issue initially...

     The lack of colors can be fixed in the GOG.com versions of the games by turning off the Fog effects in the graphics menu.

 

Now take a look at how the Colors are back to normal!  Some of the higher graphics details are gone by turning off the fog in Prince of Persia games, but the games will play and will be playable!
