How to Run The Elder Scrolls IV : Oblivion on Mac OS via Codeweavers Crossover 24.0.3!

And so, the time has come for a guide on Oblivion.   The Elder Scrolls Collection wouldn't be complete without it's fourth installment.  And what better way to run The Elder Scrolls IV : Oblivion on Mac OS than with Codeweavers Crossover 24!  So now, without much further delay, we will take a look at how to get the game running using the GOG.com version of the game, followed by the Steam Version of the Game!

GOG.com Version

GOG.com has been a great way to get a hold of games courtesy of CDProjecktRed for some time.  To get started, download all needed installer files on your computer either from your account on GOG.com or using the App provided by GOG.com known as GOG Galaxy.  After Downloading the Installers from GOG.com, set up the Installation in Codeweavers Crossover as follows with a Windows 7, 32-bit Bottle.

Now, that the Installation has been set up, begin the Installation.  There will be two dependencies installed before proceeding with the GOG.com Installation.

Now, after a simulated restart, begin the GOG.com Installation (Finally)  Exit once installation is complete.

After the GOG.com Installation is complete, you have one more step : The Bethesda Audio Override.  In this step, before starting the game for the first time, go into the wine configuration and add the following dependencies in the "libraries" tab.  The installer failed to include these files which are neccessary for the game to run its audio and graphics.

The Override Files are as follows.  Copy and paste helps ensure that they are entered correctly.

x3daudio1_7

Now that the Override is complete, proceed to start up the game from the launcher, and enjoy!

Steam Version

Now the Steam Version is slightly different.  But the Steam version has the Installation Process already laid out for you.  All you need to do is another version of the Bethesda Audio Override .  In this version, you use the wine configuration of the Steam Bottle to add the missing dependencies instead of the game bottle for Oblivion.

Add the same override files
