Want to Run That Mad Max game from 2015 on Mac OS? Here's How!
This is Kaos Nova, and here's another blog entry for Kaos Tutorials. Ever wanted to play the Mad Max video game for The Sony Playstation 4 from back in 2015 but felt prevented from doing so because your machine ran Mac OS? Fear no more, because now the game can be played on Mac OS using GOG.com and Codeweavers Crossover.
With the New Updates, some key steps toward running Mad Max on Mac OS in
Crossover have changed, so here's the new installation procedures with
the new Crossover Update!
1) Install the GOG.com version of the game using GOG Galaxy or download all 9 Installer Files of the Game.
2) Install the game using the setup executable from GOG.com, set the Installation for Mad Max as a Windows 10, 64-bit Bottle
3) Now, after installing the game through the GOG.com Installation,
proceed to Install additional files available for the game. Namely
DirectX and DXVK files
4) Install "Direct X For Modern Games" into the Mad Max Bottle this
handles some neccessary dependencies that the GOG Installer missed
during installation.
5) Now install "DXVK (64-bit dlls Only)" "DXVK (Builtin)" and "DXVK
(Upstream) all one at a time into the Mad Max Bottle. Installing the
DXVK components lessens the graphics issues such as skipping and grainy
textures along with Audio Skipping issues the game will experience
without these additional dependencies.
6) After the main installation and the four additional installations,
start Mad Max and enjoy the thrilling post-apocalyptic experience!
7)If the graphics in the game are grainy, then hit the switch for DXVK to turn it off.
8) The Game should run well now with Codeweavers Crossover 24!
