The Bethesda Audio Override
Ever experienced a detrimental, buggy situation in Bethesda Games? This fix may just be what's needed in fixing those bugs! Here is the Bethesda Audio Override, a method for fixing games in wineskin or Codeweavers Crossover by inserting the dependencies or libraries which failed to Install! There is a key difference in how to perform the Override, depending on how you installed the game. There is a method for this procedure in the GOG.com or Disc Installation, along with one for if you are installing the game through Steam. A special edition video will be available on YouTube and on Rumble for a show of both methods for fixing the audio and graphics issues in the Bethesda Fallout and Elder Scrolls games, so let's begin.
So for a little trick when it comes to getting the graphics and the audio smoothed out. Here is what you need to do.
After you Install Fallout 3 in Codeweavers Crossover, access the wine configuration for the bottle.
Now, in wine configuration, access the libraries tab.
The Libraries to add in using wine configuration are as follows:
x3daudio1_6
x3daudio1_7
xaudio2_6
xaudio2_7
Copy and Paste each of these libraries' Titles, click "Add", and Then
after repeating for all of the missing libraries files, click "apply"
and "exit" to leave Wine Configuration and save the installed libraries.
If you are using the Disc of GOG.com version of the game, then this procedure involves going into the wine configuration or winecfg of the game bottle. If you are using the Steam Version of the game, then the procedure is meant for the Steam Bottle.
Here is the video guide right on YouTube for the regular GOG.com or disc versions of the Bethesda Games.
