An Update on Codeweavers Crossover Compatibility part 2 (Early 2025)
Updates on Codeweavers Crossover Compatibility, Part II
Steam Installation Guides
Most of the games featured here involve the use of Steam. I made an updated guide in November of 2024 for version 24 of Crossover. It has a written form and a video guide over on YouTube, I will have links to both. With this Steam Installation process carried out correctly, compatibility for the games should be great as of the time of this guide being written (February 2025)

Doom, Doom II, Doom 3
Here, in this video, I take a look at getting the Classic Doom games, meaning before 2016, which include Doom, Doom II, and Doom 3, and how to run them on Mac OS using Codeweavers Crossover! This does not include the guide to Doom + Doom II, which I have included on my blog. These are the GOG.com versions of the games, available on GOG.com, or the Steam versions. These do not include the Doom + Doom II re-release
Doom + Doom II
And so, a recent re-release of the first two Doom games has been made on Steam and GOG.com. This release includes both Doom games along with all the additional custom maps made for these Doom games over the years! I have the guide for this game over here!

Age of Empires II Definitive Edition
Another famous series released was Age of Empires. Here is the Age of Empires II, the game in the real time strategy series which moved the game into the Medieval time period of the major civilizations all the way into the early colonial days in the Americas! The Definitive Edition adds additional scenarios and custom maps to the Age of Empires II game series. So what are you waiting for? With all of these steps completed, you should have a great time playing the games mentioned so far in volume I of the compatibility list in Codeweavers Crossover! In conclusion, I would like to invite you to check out the Forums on Codeweavers. Entries for various apps have forums and Tips for getting the Applications to work! I also have additional guides on this blog, for the other Bethesda Games, Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion, or the Fallout Games, including Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, or Fallout 4 . If you are available to actively test and rate the compatibility of various Applications on Codeweavers Crossover, you may want to consider becoming a Bettertester! As a Bettertester, you regularly test Apps and can be rewarded with Bettertester Points to buy merchandise or even extended subscriptions to Crossover, saving money you would need for renewing your subscription!
